Some will read "queer" as synonymous with "gay and lesbian" or "LGBT". This reading falls short. While those who would fit within the constructions of "L", "G", "B" or "T" could fall within the discursive limits of queer, queer is not a stable area to inhabit.

Originally written in 1969 by Carlos Marighella, one of the leaders of the Brazilian guerrilla organization National Liberation Action (ALN), the Mini-Manual Of The Urban Guerrilla is probably one of the most famous documents to come out of the guerrilla struggles in Latin America. Widely reprinted and translated into numerous languages it because a guide for many guerrilla movements around the globe. Critical Race Theory starts by asking the same questions about race, racism and power that a myriad of academic disciplines and activists have pondered for the past century. It draws upon critical legal studies and radical feminism in the formation of its approach. While it is primarily concerned with the legal arena, it is activist in nature and has come to include political science, education, American and ethnic studies and more.

Defying all the theoretical predictions of the 1930s, capitalism has re-stabilized itself with a vengeance and acquired extraordinary flexibility in the decades since World War II. In fact, we have yet to clearly determine what constitutes capitalism in its most "mature" form, not to speak of its social trajectory in the years to come. But what is clear, I would argue, is that capitalism has transformed intself from an economy surrounded by many precapitalist social and political...

Modern Anarcho-Syndicalism is a direct continuation of those social aspirations which took shape in the bosom of the First International and which were best understood and most strongly held by the libertarian wing of the great workers' alliance. Its present day representatives are the federations in the different countries of the revived international Workingmen's Association of 1922, the most important of which is the powerful Federation of Labour (Confederacion National de Trabajo) in Spain....

This booklet is a modest contribution to understanding the recent revolts in France. Needless to say, it is not sociological or, in a nobler sense, theoretical insight. revolts can only be understood by those who have the same needs as the rebels, that is to say by those who feel they are part of the revolt. After a brief chronology, in fact, the pages that follow pose the question of how the events of November in France concern all of us, and also try to give a possible answer.

...Today it can be said aloud that dungeons are dungeons, cages are cages, and that nothing can be done about those who are locked in, since the main thing is not to do them good but that offenders be banished inside the national borders. They are purely and simply suppressed. This is wjhy short prison sentences appear inept and totally meaningless. Long prison sentences, on the contrary, correspond perfectly to a collective desire to murder. We eliminate bothersome people, like any crook...

This guide is not really about 'noble' sabotage-for example people clamping themselves to diggers on road projects. It's about taking action against the everyday destruction of the environment-it's about afforestation (of open areas), deforestation (of natural woodlands), polluting industries, and the ceaseless growth of urbanised areas while inner cities are left derelict. Specifically, it's about sabotaging machinery, and getting away with it.

An Analysis of White Supremacy. This pamphlet will briefly discuss the nature of Anarchism and its relevance to the Black Liberation movement. Because there have been so many lies and distortions of what Anarchism really stand for, by both its left-and right-wing ideological opponents, it will be necessary to discuss the many popular myths about it. This in itself deserves a book, but is not the intention of this pamphlet, which is merely to introduce the Black movement to revolutionary...

A primer of direct action. Members of the Animal Liberation Front act directly to stop animal suffering, at the risk of losing their own freedom. Direct action refers to illegal actions performed to bring about animal liberation. These are usually one of two things: rescuing animals from laboratories or other places of abuse, or inflicting economic damage on animal abusers. Due to the illegal nature of ALF activities, activist work anonymously, and there is no formal organization to the ALF.

There is nothing desirable in politics today. The election is a racket, and the political parties are organized crime. We despise all of the worthless bureaucrats and refuse to take part in the democracy proclaimed and organized by the government. Why should we waste our lives throwing paper in ballot boxes and listening to lies? Let's do away with all of it.

The slaveholders of the New World faced military challenge not only from slaves in open revolt but also from those who fled the plantations, grouped themselves in runaway communities, and waged guerrilla warfare. These maroons (cimarrones, marrons, quilombolos) plagued every slave society in which mountains, swamps, or other terrain provided a hinterland into which slaves could flee. Some maroon communities became powerful enough to force the European powers into formal peace treaties designed...

Escape from death in a gas chamber or a Pogrom, or incarceration in a concentration camp, may give a thoughtful and capable writer, Solzhenitsyn for example, profound insights into many of the central elements of contemporary existence, but such an experience does not, it itself, make Solzhenitsyn a thinker, a writer, or even a critic of concentration camps; it does not, in itself, confer any special powers. In another person the experience might lie dormant as a potentiality, or remain forever...

This is the cry of the anarchist-revolutionary to the exploited. Rebel, destroy all government and see that it never takes root again. Power is used by those who have never really lived by the work of their hands. Government power will never let workers tread the road to freedome; it is the instrument of the lazy who want to dominate others, and it does not matter if power is in the hands of the bourgeois, the socialists or the Bolsheviks, it is degrading. There is no government without teeth,...

This pamphlet presents to you the writing of former Black Panther Party member Michael Cetewayo Tabor. It was written in 1969, when he was being framed in the New York Panther 21 case. Ceteway, or "Cet" as he was affectionately called, was a shining example of the..."X" factor. He, like Malcolm, demonstrated powerfully that even the brother and sister off the block, the outlaw, the welfare addict, the dope fiend, gangmember, etc could shake off the chains of addiction and...

This 'zine really does not contain as much as I would like it to; However, it's better short than stupid. BAsically I am just writing about my beliefs & supporting them. I want to make people aware of problems so they can avoid being a part of them. I am not looking to change minds (your mind is not my responsibility,) but to encourage thinking. Perhaps even to inspire people to get involved with their local scenes. Which is crucial here in Wichita.
